Sunderland at home is a bit of a money spinner. 10,000 away fans scattered all over the stadium, or the two stands that happen to be open, and 3,000 home fans. Stockport away? potential leg breaker/season long injury.
Strange Day(midweek) to be having a friendly against Sunderland? I can't see too big an interest in a weekday and feel they've missed a trick not having it on a Saturday? (I'd have probably come down for that,****ing numptys)
Sunderland at home would have been a decent home fixture at 3.00pm on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe effected by efffcee at home? or Humberside's finest not been able to provide cover, unless the club stump up a big wad or guarantee to pay for a full police turn out/jolly? Always wondered why we never play a Dutch team either at home or away in a pre season friendly, make more sense then Stockport away.
The whole ‘pre-season in Turkey with free holidays for fans’ thing needs ****ing off. Keep everything localised to the UK.
Why does it, miserable twat? Clubs nearly always go abroad somewhere for a week or two training, so why not there? And why not have our supporters enjoy a free holiday and great memories that will last their lifetime? Seriously. what's not to like about it (other than perhaps jealousy).
Starting with the insults again. Soon you’ll be saying something about my job again and how I should be ashamed blah blah blah.
It's as good an idea as playing Sunderland on a Tuesday night.Pack their stadium out and let them take the proceeds, every bit helps at that level.
We're playing two games in Turkey as normal, though I wouldn't be surprised if there's no free holiday this time. There's also going to be another home game.
Be school holidays won't it? Might do well with kids being off but then again plenty will be on holiday too
I'm not sure when the English School Holidays are nowadays(they're different up here obviously),but irrespective of that,I'm not sure I'd be dragging my grandkids out at night and not getting home until 11 or 12 p.m....Even if they are on holiday?
I work with a lot of people in edinburgh, and only just found out you said your kids to school on bank holidays! You lucky lucky bastards!
Some of the bank holidays differ as well Idi...So if it's an English Bank Holiday, they're sent and if it's a Scottish Bank Holiday they're off and the English kids are sent. All very simple to understand to be fair
PNE are playing Getafe away and Liverpool at home this coming pre-season. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
