  2. If you'd have pointed out that we're 7th and 7 pts clear of 8th it would have made a good article, but that's just silly man.

Yes it sort of makes me happy that Sunderland are down there but it doesn't make me feel more happy after that defeat....

I just find it comforting that, sure, we lost but sitting in 7th is a damn sight better than sitting in a relegation spot under the helm of a moody Irishman.

But the up-to-date table is there, people can draw their own conclusions.

I find it rather petty to take so much joy out of this. Lets not sink to their level.

correction; being pretty much nailed on to be 7th or higher come January makes me feel better. Then we can get some defensive cover in and start getting back up.

Ehh, I'm not really interested in seeing Sunderland lose. I am happy to see us up in 7th though!

Again with the small time mentality of oooh we're above the mackems <doh>

i wish we'd forget them and look up and try and be better than the teams above us not 'well at least we're top dogs in the northeast' hate that attitude it's crept back into our mentality. under keegan first time the majority of people didn't even give them a second thought and talked about beating manure/liverpool/arsenal etc.

The results this season prove we're not going to realistically compete with Manchester Utd, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and the like - come the end of the season i've a feeling we'll be happy with being top dogs in the North East. <ok>

Personally, I have always taken a great deal of pleasure from watching Sunderland lose/slide down the table and would enjoy greatly a relegation for them.
Woody O'Doyle would then confirm his status as a legend. <cheers>...

One saving grace for us is our GD we have a better GD than everyone up to and including Norwich.

Obviously points are a damn sight more important, but its 1 saving grace we have, but i really cant see us getting relegated, even if Bruce was still at the helm (hope thats not famous last words)

The only thing I can conclude is they mean a hell of a lot more to you than they do to me.
This season maybe but we're not a million miles away from the spuds or the dippers one step at a time<ok>
Of course I'll rib and wum them but it doesn't mean that much to me as it does others.

woody O'Doyle <laugh> cracks me up every time

even if we lose our next two games and the teams below us win theirs we'll still be seventh.
