Typical Leeds, 95th minute penalty. At the end of the day though, they still dropped points. In fact, out of the top 11 teams, only Middlesbrough and ourselves managed victory today.
So we've passed the test of playing some top sides (beating Leicester and Birmingham and playing very well against West Ham and Southampton), we've come back from some very tricky situations (Watford) and now we've hit the old cliche of winning without playing well. Any other boxes left to tick before we can get really excited?
It shouldn't bother me with them still only drawing, but as you say that seems very typical Leeds. What are the odds it was a Gradel dive, with the ref finally succumbing to he and Snodgrass' constant whining?
Hats off to Barmby. 4 wins out of 6 since he's come in, 12 points out of 18 and we also played well for 80 minutes in the two matches we lost.
Also, bear this in mind. We're not playing any of the teams in the current top 6 until February 25th when we play Cardiff away from home. That's 2.5 months worth of games we should be winning as Palace and Birmingham (who we do play however) are the only teams outside the top 6 which I rate.
If you look at recent results against the lower placed teams we don't do very well, so a 1-o win against Coventry is a very good result.
I should have known better really. It's one thing not noticing, but someone made a comment on here the other day about that and it still went over my head
Not sure about the games you`ve overlooked Tigerproud, Middlesborough (A) boxing day, followed by our bogie team Burnley (A) new years eve, Reading away on 21st Jan, then Pompey (A) (another bogie team), and from 14th Feb, we have Birmingham (A), Brighton (H), Cardiff (A), Blackpool (A) then the white shyte at home. Lot of good teams there mate, but we`re doing well at the moment so lets enjoy it, one game at a time and all that.
