Cheers Kenny, I was wondering who that was! He's probably had a silly hair cut!

Well done Norwich. Hopefully we'll have a full team in the reverse fixture and we'll manage to get a nice reverse of the score too!

  3. Well our defense was awful, but we were playing 4 RB's, so this was expected. Well done on your win.

Thank you for being gracious in defeat all of you Mags! I think that was a good game spoiled by some appalling refereeing, but we've come to expect that in the Prem! (And elsewhere to be honest <doh>)

Congrats, although no natural centre backs or not this should of been won comfortably... the previous 13 games where much more difficult on paper.

Well played, exploited the defensive problems, 4 RB's in defence is no way to play and something needs to be done about it in Jan, good luck for the rest of the season.

Suppose i was a bit harsh on whitbread considering the length of time he was out for! BIG win for us today, especially as the match rolled on and now we head to everton in positive mood next weekend! Very good entertaining game which was always on the cards. i really did think we would mess it up when it was 3-2 but was proved wrong.

Good luck magpies for the rest of the season (apart from the obvious <ok>)

Thought there were a couple of poor decisions at key points in the match (corner for your first goal, freekick for your 4th, Goslings first booking) but having said that, your gameplan was spot on, targeting our short CBs with crosses into the box and holy **** can your boys head a football!!!

Fair play and good luck lads!

Football is not played on paper. A lot of sides have looked at our team and thought it should be an easy (ish) 3pts. Only Man City have comfortable beaten us this season. (Arsenal should have, but missed a lot of chances and so it was never totally comfortable for them). We have a squad of players who have a decent amount of quality but for one reason or another have not yet had a chance to play at this level. Now they have the chance they are all desperate to prove they can cut it. This makes us far more dangerous than our 'on paper' stats would suggest. Pair that up with a manager who can bring the best out of them and we are not actually a bad side afterall. Currently the 9th best in the country despite our squad being assembled on a relative shoestring.

You play positive football as well. Something a lot of 'poor' promoted sides don't seem to do...

Morison and Holt are both big lads. Winning headers in the box is their bread and butter. Bearing in mind your issues at the back it was the obvious tactic really. There is no way that we are going to be challenging the top 4 this season. I hope you get your defensive issues sorted soon so that you can maybe get back to where you were a couple of weeks ago. It is nice to see somebody giving the big boys a bit of a headache.

I certainly didn't think this game should have been a comfortable win for us today, I was more nervous going into this one than any of our last 3 'big' fixtures. If we'd had our full strength team (with defensive players Tiote, Coloccini, Steven Taylor) then this game certainly wouldn't have been 4-2 with most of your goals coming from positions where our usual solid defense would have covered. But being forced to play 4 right backs (including Perch - who is famously about as much use as an inflatable dart board) was a real nail biter. Good game by you guys in the end, hope you guys manage to nick a top half place this season cos I don't think you'll have worries about going back down.

Well done lads. Thats what happens when we have four full backs in defence. We were poor. You killed us in the air in the box.

It has served us well in the last couple of seasons and so why change it? :) I would rather we went down attacking than stayed up grinding out 0-0's all over the place. Very pleased that our football (Of which I am a proud canary) is noticed outside norfolk. I love our style of play. I would love us to get a couple of cleansheets, but not at the expense of scoring goals. Afterall, we all love celebrating them!

You're probably right. If you had been able to field your 'first choice' defence then it would have been much tighter. I think our tactics would have been different too though. It woul dhave been a totally different game. Who knows who would have won it? Could have gone either way.

You are kidding right? I don't care if they go in off the ref's arse personally. :)
