So was Murphy until Howe got a tune out of him this season.

It’s true. I question what he’s been doing. I think a DoF is a bollocks job anyways.

Can only have one if you have a head coach not manager and even that’s a stretch.

Sounds like yet another nonsense rumour and there have already been some contrary reports that the decision for Mitchell to leave had been made a month or so ago and kept quiet until the season had ended. Even if those reports were inaccurate and your rumour bang on the money, Howe just spoke the truth as we do need to move fast. If Mitchell had nothing ready to go regarding transfers, he needed to go.

Calvert-Lewin strongly linked again. I really hope none of the current rumours turn out to be true, i don't look at any of them and think "wow!"

He's be a great signing. It would also allow what money we do have to be spent on quality CB, RW and GK.

Trafford would be an amazing signing if we can get him

9 seasons at everton and hasn't managed 60 goals.....
I'd prefer the spanish keeper, if Barca are clamouring to sign him up then he's got to be something special and we could make a killing on him 5yrs down the line.

Trafford is just as good and could well be our keeper for over ten years as well as being England no 1.

As for DCL, he's a good player. Most people I've seen have issues with him are down to their own masculine insecurities.

Put him up top and he'll score more than DCL as well!

Nope, disagree. He consistently underperforms his XG and is frequently injured. Yes, when on the pitch he can hold the ball up, but so can Dan Burn when up for a free kick, doesn't mean I want him as a striker.

My concerns about DCL are his injury record and his (lack of) goalscoring record.
We'd be as well keeping Wilson instead - which is also a "no" from me.

I'm not sure any of it is that deep. I wonder if Mitchell just came in to support Eales given his personal issues and now there's a strong suggestion a new CEO is coming in Mitchell can now move into the break he had planned a year ago.

We'll never know I suppose. The big problem we have now is how slow the Saudis can be. CEO alone has taken 9 months and counting.

Hence EHs comment that we need to work fast in the transfer market.

Trafford is a good signing but imo Calvert Lewin is simply far too injury prone

So... we DON'T need to sell all our best players and get relegated?
    Phew. Such a relief. Thanks.
