I think I read somewhere that the team top on Christmas Day over the past five seasons has almost always got promoted. Something like on 4 out of 5 occasions.
Are we all feeling just a little better now then..? I have to admit, I was royally p!ssed off with Bart earlier, though I didn't show it here. But he's come in after 2 years on the league sidelines and sh** a brick. That just shows how important it was to him. He didn't want to let people down and he did. I think the best thing we can do is support him, because actually, he's a bloody good keeper. Great result at Reading. I was beginning to think, almost with a sense of relief, that Saints were going to drop to second place and have someone to chase, rather than be there to be hunted down. In motorcycle racing, going into the last lap, most riders actually prefer to be right up the leader's backside, rather than be the leader themselves. It's a psychological thing, and I sense I might actually be happier for Saints to do be the hunters, rather than the hunted, unless we can pull away from West Ham and the others. However, more results like that and it won't be West Ham chasing us. So, from being royally p!ssed off, I suppose it's cheers to Reading and a much better mood this evening.
So true. The Bart knockers need to get a grip, he's been good back up for a long while, although I've often laughed when people say he should be in front of Kelv. Man, we missed KD today, but, looking at the table, not a bad day at all.
Great comeback without a doubt, but Barnsley did implode like this last week vs Posh as well. 3-0 up, and in a blink of an eye it was 3-3. At the time I put it all down to the fact it was Posh (we all know what they're like with scoring), but maybe I was wrong.
