Yep I think that is now my view too. All pressure on the board for me now. Ok I'm not expecting say 4 stellar superstars, but we do need some serious experience injected in that squad at the bare minimum. You'd like to think they're raring to go from the 1st June but we just know what will happen....
Levy pulling the trigger on that day (assuming candidates are already listed) would be a massive public statement of intent.
Fair nuff! I would rather we get a new manager in and begin the new season with some optimism. If Ange stays there will be pessimism.
I don’t think the right man is out there tbh, which is another reason I’d keep Ange. It’s on the club now to properly back him this summer and give him the players and squad that is capable of competing in multiple competitions.
I like him but I don’t think he leaves Palace this summer and I don’t blame him. He could take them far in Europa if they keep their star players. Thomas Frank and Marco Silva don’t interest me at all.
There's part of me that thinks we will gamble on Ange for a third season and if it goes pear-shaped, give it to a caretaker until the end of the season and reappoint Poch after the WC is done. The only (and I mean: only) reason I can see for keeping Ange is how unusually supportive the team seem to be of him. Not even Poch enjoyed this level of blind faith and loyalty at the end (with the likes of Toby and Eriksen openly itching for moves away, while others like Rose and Winks made some choice comments to the media). Much as I want him gone, I'm not naive to the fact that in the modern era of prima donna fairies, it is increasingly rare to find a changing room that loves the manager so much. I guess it is Ange's one redeeming quality. He could sell snow to an eskimo. He'd probably then advise them to try to set the snow on fire, but that's beside the point.
I agree, but I can see them getting picked off. Eze, Wharton and Guehi are the obvious ones, but Henderson and Munoz could go, too.
I saw some tier 100 account say he’s been sacked an announcement will follow in the week. Also that Thomas Frank has already been spoken to and will be the next manager It’s all laughable and 99.9% false
