The Cirkin one was funny. Signed mere minutes after that fraud Nixon posted some inflammatory stuff about how nothing whatsoever was going on at Sunderland :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Will be easier to tell you who wasn’t. Which was Alese, Ballard and Seelt as far as I can remember I personally heard and seen reports about everyone else.

Already loving seeing all the leaks and stuff just nice to see us active and shopping higher. Speakman will be loving the new transfer budget, the FM save will reach the fun part for him <laugh>

Iirc wasn't there a lad on his way from Liverpool in the car to sign a deal and before he got to the AOL we realised Ballard was available and ****ed the deal off?

That’s true but it was a LB from Liverpool and he was sent back when we were successful with Cirkin

Aye that rings a bell, and I don’t recall the lad in question so we clearly did a solid switcheroo.

Think that’s why Cirkin was a little bit of a surprise in the end. Everyone online was too busy getting the torches out because Speakman had failed to get a left back over the line:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I understand your point but think you’re neglecting the fact that it’s the premier league and a squad game. Players will get reduced game time but in the premier league and on premier league money.

Tommy Watson was willing to leave us to get that. Some of our players WILL be willing to stay for less game time. That’s just how the premier league works.

If Dan Neil is suddenly playing 25 games instead of 38 he’s hardly going to go back to the championship. And any other premier league move would see him playing even less. Which is a move he wouldn’t make based off your argument that players only sign for clubs if they’re going to start games.

Jenson Seelt was the only one who was announced by the club before it was on twitter. Alese and Ballard broke a few hours at least before.

I can remember that, a complete surprise

Speaking of Seelt - does he get a loan move?

I think Huggins, Seelt and, to a lesser extent, Alese, will get looked at over pre-season if they can make the step up. Loans if they can't yet.

I'm a big fan of Alese at CB and think less distance to cover will help put his injuries behind him. Obviously do think he has the quality to potentially make the step up as well but it's hard to judge.
