No there shouldn’t have to be two threads on a match. A match discussion thread should be exactly that. A place where everyone can comment their view on the match. If you’re driven away from a forum because someone’s negative view is different from yours then unfortunately you need to grow up.

You’re not sensing the hypocrisy in saying they drive people away whilst also trying to drive people away because of their views. ‘They simply must be heard’ well I say you right not must be heard and seen as king of the people telling people to go and do their business somewhere else because you don’t agree with their negative opinions.

There's also people getting driven away because of the moaning about people moaning tho

If the solution is to have 2 match day threads then so be it

I don't want an audience at all, ridiculous statement to make about a lot of very good posters imo. Just because you don't agree with what they say doesn't mean they are looking for an audience. People comment on what they see, nothing wrong with that.

This thread got derailed by people going back and digging out a few negative comments on this game - i just think that's looking for an argument

The match day threads are done for the season and as a group we can decide how to best have these next season. If having 2 is the answer then let's do that, but what makes these threads so good is the differing opinions so a lot will be lost with 2 different threads imo

I don't think anyone needed looking after mate, the whole thing took care of itself.

The pub said, despite breaking their record for alcohol sales, we were the best crowd they've ever had there.

I haven't had the chance to look but Sophie was saying they'd had photos taken and will post on their social media ...

... anyone who needs their faces pixelating should contact the Argyll <laugh>

I'm not wading into the arguments and name-calling when we should all be celebrating together, but I would like to remind people that the ignore button is always available.

christ the point of the match thread for many is to comment on the good and bad, as it happens. Debate follows and all sorts of analysis comes out of it. People getting dug out during the early hours, getting literally told to FO with zero moderation is the issue (especially in realtion to derailing a thread) But it has been the same for a while and won't change, the same folk are part of the circle.

I like how we all see it differently and have different posting styles. Again, this has drifted into a Monday because certain people have been allowed to derail the thread and try to literally censor other people's posting. I am sure we will get someone come in soon and try to do a handshake emoji instead of calling out the people demanding the censoring.

Yeah I don't usual use it but feel I need to, stops me biting to things and potentially ruined the thread for others

Anyway if we are still talking about the game, for all the praise Michael Cooper gets I thought he looked poor in goal for them. Maybe the day was too big for him but he spent the entire match stuck to his line - people rate him as one of the 3 best keepers in the league but he's certainly got some work to do for that.

It's not a lot of very good posters at all.

Perhaps I'm not supposed to have an opinion but I'll say it again ...

... there's a very small clique, who you've now lumped yourself in with for whatever reason, who are persistently negative.

Various people have said it puts them off posting and they don't come on at all if we lose.

That doesn't seem to concern you in the slightest but, then again, you come and go so the health of the forum probably isn't a concern.

I'll repeat, for absolute clarity, it has nothing to do with negative opinions ...

... you seem intent on ignoring that so it's pointless explaining it all again.

Aye. He is a really good keeper but thought he was below his standard that day. We worked the first goal really well but I reckon his coach would want him to close the front post angle down.

Second, he was blind with Watson using him as a shield so maybe a bit harsh to expect him to get across.

Yeah second one Watson used the defender really well, but positioning was all off for the first.

I'm sure he'll have a good career but think id rather patto going into next season than him.

If you don’t want to do them because of people’s negative opinions so be it. I appreciate your threads a lot but they shouldn’t be censored mate.

Seems to struggle every time he has come back from injury for a few weeks but he knew he wasn't great by admitting that himself. When he gets a good rest and a good ore season in him I am sure we will see the best version of Denis :1980_boogie_down:
