Third, assume he's behind Alisson and now Marma, hence why he's available. I don't mind the idea; but if we're trying to challenge top 4 regularly we'll need a Raya, Alisson. Ederson of our own. Kelleher's probably not that. I don't know enough about him - how's his footwork? Regardless I'd imagine he's an upgrade on Pope!
According to David Ornstein from The Atheltic, we've just offered Callum Wilson a new contract. Roland, over to you.
This has to be a ****ing joke. Wilson has had the worst season imaginable. I don't give two ****s if he's got a great sense of humor, we need talented players to change the game. Giving him a contract is just another cheap, lazy and 'mates first' move by Howe. Going into next season, again, with Isak, Wilson and Osula is bizarre, at best.
No, it's quite a reputable source being from Ornstein. We've refused to take up the 12 month renewal option on his current contract, but have offered a new, more incentive based contract instead. Probably a much lower basic wage with generous appearance and goal bonuses.
This indicates it would only be on an 'incentive based' contract, so I guess along the lines of "actually get your arse fit and actually score some goals"?
It is apparently a reduced salary with incentives. Leeds also want him so I think the contract if signed will be on our terms.
Sure - it just can't be at the expense of having better options. Incentive based or not, what's the point in ever bringing Callum Wilson on?
Mbeumo showing a complete lack of ambition if he goes to Newton Heath. I see Bellingham is trying to find a way out of Inbred *****philes FC. In talks with Eintracht Frankfurt. He'll be playing for Hull City within a year. Bang average player.
You'd imagine so; they don't play with a "10" whatsoever, and somebody will grossly over-pay for BF to help them balance the books. Mbeumo is an odd choice, given their only competent outfield player is Amad. I'd have thought of the 11 positions, improving on Amad is 11th most important.
Wilson is useful even when we with a back up for Isak.. This is the thing people don't understand. 2 isn't enough.
Dude he’s been ****ing useless. Zero goals or assists, dreadful play, rubbish injury record. I understand 2 isn’t enough, but Wilson isn’t even a PL striker so we’re currently sat with one. We need someone who can affect a game.
He looked quite sharp the last three games he's made appearances. If he's a 3rd of 4th option, you'll find it difficult to find a better players who's happy to be an emergency back up on a free transfer.
