Hamer said in the match day programme from Saturday that his favourite song for karaoke is Wise Men Say. Practically a come and get me plea. Mind, in the same programme Chris Rigg said that stuttered run ups to penalties are ‘woke’, so I think I’ll just be pretending I never read it.
I really like Jack Rudoni mind, I think he could be someone who steps up. But itd have to be a sensible deal and I dont think Cov would play ball. How much would you pay for him?
Just had a quick look there to see what he cost Coventry. Around 5m apparently. Also reports the scum are looking at him.
Think we need a midfielder who can sit in front of the defence and be a pure defensive player, ideally a physically imposing athletic player. For me Amadou Kone is the ideal player for this with massive sell on potential, in my opinion he will be the next Baleba/Caicedo type player and at just 19/20 seems a no brainer for the fee they apparently want at £12m. Been watched by some top teams but the game time he would get here and with the links we have to france would be invaluable in the discussions. Would allow players like Le Fee, Neil, or anyone else we bring in a bit more freedom ahead of him.
I think they’d want north of that. Depends what other interest arises but he’d replace jobes physicality quite well.
Me and @Scout73 just talking about this. need a big physical dominant 6 for me with a good passing range. just protects us a bit more defensively
I think you can get away with someone smaller as long as they cover ground like its nobodys business and consistently win tackles and intercept passes - but would then want a bigger player as the 8 to replace Jobe. But I think I also would lean more towards a big bastard 6 and an energetic 8 that carries the ball well and contributes goals and assists..... Lets see if Riggy fills out over the summer.
