That's a very polite way of putting it! Most would rightly call it 'bollox'. There was a fair bit of it being posted on here in the run up to our final game. All proved to be bullshit.
(Other than a few that weren't featuring and had no chance of staying).

 

You're predicting we will sell half the team and have another summer of major turnover of players.

I’m predicting we will sell a decent amount of players and need to replace them. The ones I mentioned are the most likely to go. If you think that’s doom and gloom then that’s your problem.

 

We won't need to replace them though, the squad is already too big.

 

If we sell Drameh, we will need another right-back. If we sell Mehlem, Ömür, Simons, Alzate and Palmer, we will need another three midfielders in. If we sell Kamara, we need another right-winger.

 

Of course if we sell 10 players we will probably need 3-4 players in but we don't need to replace 10 sales with 10 purchases. As someone else pointed out we currently have 30 players in a senior squad that can only have 25 registered.

We need a better striker, better full backs, and probably a winger, that doesn't mean we need an overhaul though.

There's more evidence for financial issues than not. And you can't prove certain players didn't get told they were not being renewed in march so you're clutching at straws kiddo.

It's just really sad watching you flail about, clinging to the credibility you think you have, but which was lost weeks ago.

So the manager is currently in a job, which is why his identity hasn't been revealed. Expecting to be wrapped up in the coming days. Essentially what I suggested yesterday - that while Baz knows who it is he can't reveal who it is out of respect to negotiations over the move. Sounds like it could be pretty imminent.

‘Extensive playing career on the continent’…should help rule out some names.

 

Not Şahin, Cifuentes or Röhl. Riera fits the description but seems to be a contender but not first choice - still sounds like someone not yet mentioned.

 

Albert Reira, Arda Turan, Cesc Fabregas, Robbie Keane, Robin van Persie ? All of those are currently in work and fit Baz's latest description.. although I think Reira is the only one we could attract... maybe Keane?
