Bart - 6 - Looked very nervous but after his howler, even though he had the crowd on his back, looked more assured. Richardson - 7 - Looked very good down the right wing today, done most of the work creative wise. Fonte - 6 - Not his usual dominant self but was put under pressure by the team a fair bit today. Hooiveld - 6 - Again pretty much te same as Fonte. Fox - 6 - Never really lit up the pitch. Put in a couple of good crosses but otherwise quiet. Schneiderlin - 7 - Adapted well to the unusual right wing but faded as the game went on. Hammond - 6 - Wasn't really in the game. Cork - 6 - In and out of the game but had some good moments. Lallana - 6 - Not playing like his fantastic self of late. Guly - 6 - Couple of Guly quality moments but otherwise didn't do anything. Lambert - 7 - Scored the goals but wasnt really that dominant. Harding - 6 - Had a couple of bright moments. De Ridder - 6 - his lively self What's your ratings ? This is joint between myself and SF4L.
How can you say Guly didn't do anything, I thought himself and Lallana kept our attacks going. Southampton played really well and showed great determination and patience to come back from behind today. We played some scintillating football but Blackpool defended well.
Bart 4 Richardson 7 Fonte 6 Hooiveld 6 Fox 6 Schneiderlin 7 Cork 6 Hammond 6 Lallana 7 Guly 7 Lambert 8 - he was the MOTM, he was very good in the first half, linked up the play very well and scored 2 goals
Bart was woeful 4 Richardson was okay not world beating but not dreadful 7 Fonte pretty average 6 Hooiveld the same 6 Fox pretty poor today 5 Lallana looked his old self in the first half but faded in the 2nd 7 Hammond good passing from him but didn't do enough to merit any higher than a 6 Cork much the same as Hammond 6 Spiderman played well at right mid and knocked in a decent ball or two 7 Lambert gave it a good go and tool every chance presented to him with some good link Up play 8 Guly fantastic work rate Adkins has clearly had a word worked hard all game and wasn't afraid to shoot my man of the match 9! De ridder did a bit and chased the ball his poor decision making in the final 3rd was once again clear to see though especially for our final chance all he had to do was square it! 6 Harding came on and reinvigorated our left flank had the beating of his man going forward and the only time he got done he got back well to block a shot on goal 8
I honestly have no idea how you can rate Bart as 6. He was shaky for the whole game. The only reason why he looked more solid towards the end of the match was that the ball was constantly at the other end of the pitch!
Bart was ****ing terrible. The defence refused to pass to him the last 15 minutes. He gets a 1 rating from me, simply the worst gk display I've ever seen at St Mary's. The save at the start where it simply hit him in the chest set the tone basically. As for Guly, I am a hater usually and people say you either Love or Hate him but I thought he was brilliant today. He was the best player on the pitch for us for long periods, his passing was very good and we didn't involve him anywhere near enough. The midfield were very wasteful. Embarrassingly wasteful infact. We had so many chances to score today. And at times they tried to force a pass that wasn't on top of the box when they should have been shooting. Bart - 1 Richardson - 7 - Solid defence and decent going forward Fonte - 6 - Looked shakey, slid in a few times second half and got caught out of position Hooiveld - 7 - Solid Fox - 6 - Average Schneiderlin - 5 - Very poor I thought, lacked vision and blew some chances Hammond - 6 Cork - 6.5 - Ran all game and often did well to cover the defence on counter. Won the ball back for us a lot. A bit hesitant infront of goal though Lallana - 6 - Couldn't really get in the game. Guly - 8 - Good passing when he got on the ball, chased well and challenged well today. Much improved. Lambert - 9 - 2 goals and created a few opportunities from winning the ball in the air in the box. As for subs: De Ridder 5 - Poor. Very wasteful. At the end he should have passed early. His vision and passing is non-existent. All he ever has is an eye for goal for himself. I really don't rate him. Great he presses like a headless chicken, not impressive(something i expect) and something all players are capable of doing coming on as a sub in an advanced position. Harding - 6.5 - Provided a threat down the left after coming on. Ok in defence.
This. I think bart needs to be sent out on loan to gain confidence/experience. We can't risk him at Fratton Park. Really hope super kelv is fit.
Agree with that, but would probably have marked Fox down to 5 as he had a mare. Guly was my MOTM, he often looked like the only one chasing down Blackpool and looking eager around the box.
Bart 2 Richardson 8 Fonte 6 Hooiveld 7 Fox 5 Schneiderlin 7 Cork 7 Hammond 6 Lallana 6 Guly 9 MOTM Lambert 7 (I've never, ever given a rating of under 4 before now)
But Doncaster are interestingly beating Birmingham, I think we played them and Bristol C at the wrong time!
Bart - 0 Richardson - 7 Fonte - 6.5 Hooiveld - 6.5 Fox - 6 Schneiderlin - 7.5 Hammond - 5.5 Cork - 6 Lallana - 6 Guly - 7.5 Lambert - 8 As for subs: De Ridder 6.5 Harding - 6.5
Bialkowski - 4, Was very nervous today Richardson - 7, Good going forward Fonte - 6, Average Game Hooiveld - 6, Again very average Fox - 5, Poor today (I know I will get slated by someone) lLallana - 6, Not his usual self Hammond - 6, Not very dominating Cork - 6, Never had full control Schneiderlin - 7, Good despite being out of position Guly - 6, Average Lambert - 8MOM, Scored 2 vital goals de Ridder - 6, Not much impact Harding - 6, solid when he came on
It's weird this one, because for once Fox was poor and you're completely right to mark him down. But you've given him the same mark as Bart - now Fox wasn't THAT bad haha!
