My mate got up one day and went to Rome for the afternoon. Was back in Cottingham for last orders same day. Humberside Airport to Schipol to Rome, a few beers and a bit of grub then back home. I think he said it was about £60 for him and his missus. Pre Brexit though.

Missus and her mate did a similar trip to Barcelona. 6am outbound, 11pm return flights. They had it planned a month or two in advance but it cost them £45 each

Possible of course but I just don't see Acun, being the media man that he is, to keep quiet if he genuinely had a big name manager even contemplating coming here and likewise Cooper in his role as journalist, he would be itching to have the exclusive.

 

Speculation isn’t my thing so best to sit back and let The Big Turk try to finally sort this one out again. Obviously the choice of manager is important but for me after watching City being inconsistent and struggle for the most part of thise season it’s the improvement of the squad that’s arguably going to be THE most important part of preparing the club for the Championship challenge that awaits City next season.
