Delighted for Sunderland. Club of that size shouldn't be spending as long as they have outside the top flight.

Having watched them a few times this season I do fear for them a bit next though.

I'm not watching. Why did BBD come on for only 20 mins before getting subbed off?
 
This final was only going one way until Hamer got injured. He was running the show.

Second time in three years that a play-off final has been influenced by him going off injured.

Hopefully a PL club takes him from Sheff Utd next season. I think Leeds want him.
 
Congrats Sunderland.

I wonder if that's Wilder's job under pressure now? Difficult to survive both a relegation and then a promotion failure.

That ends my hope for us to sign Hume as KWP's replacement. Or Patterson as Ramsdale's replacement.
 
Should be a warning to us too. Just because we in theory will have better players, and more money. Doesn't mean we have any right to go straight back up. That's only Burnley of the 3 relegated that have gone straight back up this time.
