Gardner and Sess in the middle would be completely overrun!!

I have a feeling he will go with

    Westwood
    O'Shea Turner Brown Richardson
    Larsson Gardner Colback Vaughan Sessegnon
    Bentner (if fit)

1 up top I know but just what I think he will go with.

    How about

    -------------Westwood-----------
    -----O'Shea---Turner---Brown----
    Bardsley----------------Richardson
    --Larsson---Gardner---Vaughan--
    ------------Sessegnon-----------
    ------------Bendtner-------------

Obviously telling Bendtner to stay put and Sess to have a free role.

I can't say I even agree with myself on that formation, I thought I'd try something different however. As I was doing it I realised I couldn't really fit Sess in and two strikers without weakening the defensive side of the mid-field, i also would like to MON put two strikers out as well.

Elmo and Rico could do jobs as wing backs if we went with a 3 man centre.
Im all for Noble starting but he needs someone next to him for protection or Samba will eat him

    ........................westwood....................
    Bardo ........oshea......brown.........Rico..
    Larsson....Gardner..Vaughan......sessegnon
    ........................Ji...........noble..........................

Im a big fan of Bendtner but Ji showed against Wolves he'll put himself about a bit more and we'll need that to give Noble openings. Also if Noble looks lost we can bring NB on from the bench with a point to prove.

Just thinking about that spell O`Shea had for Man Utd in Midfield. One of the things we miss out on in midfield is a "Voice"...somebody who would keep every body switched on. I wonder if John O`Shea could do that and whether MOn would get him to be his voice on the field
Dunn needs to be snuffed out and we need to have good defenders to counter set pieces by putting O`Shea in mid field we`d have extra height/defensive quality...as well as shaking up a team which needs to be shaken....Just a thought....

Agreed, lots of people advocating 4-5-1 which is one of the problems with Bruce,

Personally with the new boss I'd like to see a totally fresh setup, in the words of Mike Bassett ''we will play 4 4 ****ing 2''

    Westwood

    Bardo - Brown - O'shea - Ricco

    Lars - Sess - Vaughn - Mclean

    Bendy/Ji - Noble

We're at home, we should be going all out for the win, put Blackburn under pressure from the first whistle - Nobles on fire at the minute get the balls to him and let him have a crack at goal, Mclean by all accounts is also doing well so give him his chance, him and Ricco on the overlap should do quite well (never been Richardsons biggest fan, but give him his due he's done ok in the last few games)

(Sorry if I've got the names spelt wrongly still pissed from last night <cheers>)

Mon has been talking up McClean in the papers so I think he may well start, he said a similar thing to Bruce about Noble (needs to beef up) I think Mon will line up....

    Westwood
    Bardo....O'shea....Brown.....Ricco
    Seb......Vaughan...Gardner...McClean
    Sess
    Bendtner

    Westwood
O'Shea, Bramble or Turner, Brown, Bardo
    Lars, Vaughan, Colback, Ricco
    Sess, Noble

I'd go quick and nimble up front v their heavy weights, I like Bardo better on the left than on the right, I like Ricco pushed on a bit and he has the pace to get behind defences, Colback in for defensive quality, vaughan for creative, O'shea can cover the right back birth and I'd bring eith Bramble or Turner back into the middle of defence alongside Brown

Bench, Bendtner (plan B), Gardner, Bramble or Turner, plus 2

And for me guys. I like the look of this team very much and after watching the reserves match the other night, McClean and Noble deserve their place in the starting line up. Got to say that the LH side looks strong as well with two natural left footers in there ;)

Fair enough Dorset I didn't see that game - and I have suggested either/or. Having said that Brown was responsible for the 2nd versus Wigan and one of the 2 against Wolves????

True mate <ok> but I can tell you that Brown looks a hell of a lot more mobile than Bramble did the other night. I like Bramble, but he looks nowhere near match fit ATM.

I think it could be something like this.

    ...............Westwood..............
    OShea.....Turner..Brown....Bardo
    .......Larson..Meyler..Gardener....
    Sess..............................Ricco
    ..................Bendtner...............

Larson as the play maker, Gardener to get forward from Midfield. Meyler as the ball winner and to sit. Going forward Sess and Ricco with loads of pace to break and support Bendtner going forward. 433 attacking 451 defending.

I have studied MON a lot and he likes quick wingers playing on the break and a big centre forward. He also likes solid full backs rather than attacking ones. At Villa he often played CB as full backs.

Its going to be interesting to see how we line up tomorrow.

MON has a history of spoiling how other teams play and then hitting them on the break with pace.
