Buzzing with the result and all the better seeing gammon face in the stands to witness it, it was an awful match but who cares, a way over due piece of silverware and it really should be the beginning of something and a springboard, but we all know it won`t be with Levy in charge unfortunately. Levy was grinning like a Cheshire cat at FT, he must be on a bonus for CL qualification.
They reckon the Championship play-off final is the most significant game because of the huge disparity between winning and losing. But given the circumstances of the two finalists, this EL final has trumped it. Feeling bereft. This sets Utd back so much. £100M in lost revenue, no appeal to prospective players, sponsors etc with no European football and a team way behind even mid table PL. Spurs have been catapulted into the CL and will have a huge financial shot in the arm. And you’ve won a trophy too. Not the most prestigious, but a trophy nonetheless - and there’s no such thing as a bad trophy win. Year of the f***ing bird
I don’t know the source or how it’s been calculated, but that’s the claim. There’s a significant amount of spin-off income, especially for a club with such a high profile where commercial income massively increases through CL participation.
I must confess.....I did not go barmy when we scored ( as I have done one or two times in the past!!!!).....but I had tears running down my cheeks as I watched the Spurs fans celebrating it and after the final whistle.Man!....Definately worth the wait!.......Okay.Now for Real Madrid and Bayern...........!
'Guard of honour' on the runway at Stansted. I was half expecting the plane to slip on the water and do its hamstring.
Confidencially.......I was informed it was Arsenal fans peeing on our plane at Stanstead.Awaiting confirmation!
