Yeah same here, I'm booked in the Radisson Park Inn, just down from the station. Hoping to get to Peterborough for 10ish
Probably too that. Drop off early Saturday. Straight on train back on the night, get backs from car, stumble to room and kip.
@Prehab26 . You can park at waitrose near train station from 8am Saturday until 3pm Sunday for £20. Check your parking space app. Loads of places to park at a reasonable cost.
Planning ringing the hotel when I'm half hour out and asking if they have spaces but it's only a small car park. If not then I'll park in one of the station ones for £15 for the weekend.
The train station long stay car park is behind the Waitrose car park, same exit off the roundabout just next turn along. has a footbridge straight to platform. It does the £15 weekend ticket or £8 a day. avoid the main station car park (it’s always full) or the shopping multi-stories (absolute rip off)
Legend. Is that far away from the central Travelodge ? We won't go to the room till late until Saturday night so will need to pick bags up from car before stumbling to the room
Probably about 10 min walk - straight through the city centre. There’s a bridge that goes over from the station to the shopping centre and then you’re pretty much there once you’re out the other side. Not the best for pubs pboro mind!
Plan is to literally park, get beers for train, straight on train, stay in London till one of the last trains and head back mate.
My son has an exam Friday morning, so I've two spare train tickets one-way to London from Newcastle on Friday 10.27am. Not sitting together, but same carriage. £50 each.
I think I'll save the hassle and just do that as well. Just want to get to Peterborough and on the train and get to the Argyll asap to get the party started
Anyone still looking for tickets, keep your ear to the ground so to speak, if you know anyone at the club.
Escape from Shetland almost completed just at Edinburgh, for 2moro breakfast Bungalow cafe 8.15 on the road 9ish good rake about Friday and will defo pop into Argyll on Saturday, think it’s on the list for Friday at some point as well,we’ve booked someone’s drive then tubing it in enjoy all COME ON
Seriously, that's good advice mate ... I'm certain there are some tickets still in the system. It's Thursday and not all 'corporate people' can just drop everything and go to London for the weekend.
