Glad it's not just me. My old man always says he likes watching City play, which baffles me. He even wanted them to win the final. Tedious, boring, robotic football IMO, and I don't love Pep either. That club is just MK Dons with money nowadays to me
I honestly think more people hate the pass pass pass football than like it these days. Well if you take out the social media stats needs anyway.
I never have really. Even when Pep was at Barca I'd find them dull to watch as a neutral. Yes, you could appreciate the brilliance, and Messi as an individual was never dull. But the Madrid team of that era were so much better to watch as with Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema you'd always enjoy fast paced direct football.
Yeah ditto the Spain world cup winning side. Dreadful to watch and how Barca would have looked without Messi.
Yes, we're just discussing why we wouldn't want Guardiola, even if he offered to work for free. Or something like that
I must admit that the more I learn about Still the more i'm relaxed about my reservations of him lacking experience, this is an excellent analysis although i'm not completely sure about this blokes starting XI for next season...
Another positive for Still is the element of right place at the right time. He's resigned and back in the UK. So he's free. He's probably just below the level where a PL team would take the gamble but won't be if he has 1 good season anywhere. We are the perfect club for him. He's got a lot riding on southampton working and we've got reason enough to back him. I want this to happen.
..... and Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. Huge clubs in their respective leagues, with more money to buy better players than everyone else. He should be winning everything. I d be impressed if he`d been successful at, say, Saints or Girona.
If the rumours are correct about it being Will Still I am hoping that his knowledge of the French league, added to Spors knowledge of the German league might help us bring in some decent players to improve our squad.
Just seen this posted on Twatter... "Tom Cleverley is at the City Southampton under-21 game tonight - reportedly in talks over the vacant Saints job."
