Just seeing my name sends Spurf into a 5 post meltdown. Astonishing scenes. Have a good day lads and all the best for tonight
Oh so you thought you’d just randomly start talking about politics and England on the match day thread? Just a coincidence you done it just after I posted? *Big hugs*
A few important tasks to do - arrange the cushions on the floor behind the sofa and stock the beer fridge alongside. I'm then 'going dark ' for the duration. Not unduly pessimistic or certainly not optimistic, but just need to find a state of Zen to carry me through the day! Namaste to you all COYFS!
Here’s hoping spurs gift me a wonderful birthday treat tonight! I can’t help worrying that we haven’t scored in our last 4 finals though…
Many Happy Returns, I am sure we all echo your sentiments about your 'birthday treat' coming from Spurs tonight, but I think you know better than to rely on them, but have a great day regardless.
I’m gonna be heading to the stadium to watch it but I’ve got massive envy of my cousin and a couple of mates. They flew into Girona yesterday evening and drove through to Bilbao in a camper. They’ve all got tickets too. Be buzzing for them if they get to see the boys do it.
I’ll take any Spurs hero tonight. Though if the footballing gods ever wanted me to owe them one, Sonny scoring the winner would be unreal. Everything he’s done for Tottenham deserves to be capped with a match winner tonight.
My son takes the p*** out of me as I can cry at anything, but I swear to God I'll blubber like a baby if that happens tonight...
im watching it with my lady and I’ve been practicing keeping my eyes dry by trying to visualise us winning it and me acting quite calm about it but deep inside I know it’s a fruitless exercise and I’m going to need a moment to myself if we pull this off
I think many men become more emotional as they get older. Music can very easily bring my tears. I haven't so far cried over football, not the game anyway, but who knows! I think football is about emotion, it's the daily antidote to the constant stream of terrible world news. You hear it all the time in conversations on serious subjects you only have to ask the question. Do you like football? What is your team? The laughter and the banter will follow. Football is important because it can do that, we are divided by our club loyalty but united by our love of the game.
