Well it's a year and a day since I posted the playoff final thread thinking along with others (I was going to say many) our relegation was a blip and we would go on to consolidate our Premiership status. To say we were an absolutely embarrassing failure would be a massive understatement narrowly escaping being the worst team in the Premier league history. We welcome Arsenal, placed second this term, to St Mary's hoping for something approaching a performance from the team that allows both them and fans hope for the future. Avoiding defeat possible not probable but who gave us a chance against city? Watching from this side of the North sea I was impressed with the level of support, particularly at away games, from the Saints faithful given the level of performances. COYR! Give us something to cheer at the end of the season. Edit: Match Officials, thanks St Osprey. Oh and thanks for all the academy info during the season. Ref: Darren Bond. Linos: Marc Perry, George Byrne. Fourth off: Gavin Ward. VAR (See Libby): Graham Scott. VAR Ass (See Libby): James Mainwaring.
Anyway, who's planning on going on the pitch? I might get on to try and give Matty a stroke. Can't see him wanting to leave after that.
