'last time I take your side', I'm sure your tears will dry, eventually. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Baz was asked about this rumour today and he believes Acun has not resigned as Vice-President of Fenerbahce.
Makes depressing reading but a good obituary of the last few years that. Without wanted to entice the flag wavers on there usual crusade I’ve always maintained every club has its day usually racing up the leagues to fame and fortune bur without sounded too frustrated, my one apprehension is City May well have already had that incredible Tuen of events and it could well be some time and potentially changes in the boardroom before those euphoric times return.in the near future. For now it’s the Championship so best we just enjoy it and stick with the club. UTT
I just read a BBC interview from a few hours ago with Acun and in it he's quoted as saying in response to comparisons with us and Watford ' I wish I was the new Watford, as they've been to the Premier League'. That's what we are up against currently with the owner. He's also quite happy with all the failed manager appointments .
Yeah, I picked up on that too. He actually said a lot of stupid **** that flew under the radar in that interview because he spent 15 minutes excusing racism. Wanting to emulate Watford was one of them.
He must not know our history of forgotten we been there to . Perhaps he should have a natter with Syd.
Well if Acun is watching Brighton , tonight that’s how to play and that’s what he’s looking for . Instead of the boring crap we’ve had . How many managers have they had to get there ?
They've had 3 since 2019 but I honestly believe its their recruitment that's got them to where they are not the amazing abilities of the head coach(s). It might be an unpopular opinion but I think the role of the head coach has less of an impact then many owners/fans would wish but it's easier to replace a head coach than buy a new team. (Old school managers who also did all of the recruitment had somewhat more of an influence. IMHO)
They also haven’t sacked a head coach or manager since Chris Hughton in 2019. Potter was poached by Chelsea and De Zerbi left by mutual consent.
They also supposedly scout managers like they do players in the chance that they lose someone. It’s funny because the sliding doors moment is the fact that Hurzeler beat Tim to promotion.
Does anyone know of a bookies offering odds for the City job? I've checked Sky, Ladbrokes, Coral and William Hill but nothing.
