Agreed. For what is a small outlay now, he'd sell on for a lot more. We have to think longer term with some of these signings, but the fact he can contribute now as he showed during his handful of games suggests he's worth paying for, even if it isn't a priority position.

Even allowing for the fact he cant play until November?.. if we lose Alazate, maybe Puerte and even Slater, that means we have to go into the market to buy someone as Mattazo looks like being November onward..
Nobody said we were broke, I said we were heavily in debt. Nobody said half the squad got told they needed to leave, I said some of the players had already been told they were free to go or yes, in some cases, told to start looking for a new club. And about three or four times explained that being in debt doesn't stop you from buying any players. It doesn't even stop you going mental, it just depends on how far you're willing to go.
Zambrano seemed to have more time on the ball than any other player. This is because of his movement, first touch and reading of the game. He will go for much bigger transfer fees in his career than our reported outlay so do not understand this one bit. The again, there’s so much I don’t understand about this club at the moment!
