Should just go back to how it used to be. 3 trophies. European cup, uefa and the cup winners cup! But, as they appear only to care about getting more into a tournament, I’d much prefer team to have to win something to get there! How much more would be put into the FA and League cups p if it brought that reward?

Loved the 'hope you get better soon' comment after the girl said she supported Newcastle

Was howling at that. He was absolutely hammered, which is impressive for 1130 on a Sunday

Southampton are so poor. Was thinking about how they may struggle next season when the likes of Dibling and Fernandes are sold and Walker-Peters leaves on a free, but then remembered they will have a strike force of Archer, Stewart and Armstrong and also Shea Charles returning in midfield and Ronnie Edwards returning in defence. They'll go straight back up.

There'll be a fire sale but the Championship level players they have will probably stay. Plus, if they get someone like Röhl in they'll be fine.

They could sign nobody and field a team like

    Archer
    Edozie Smallbone Armstrong
    Charles Downes
    Manning Wood Edwards Bree
    McCarthy

Plus making probably £100m+ in sales to reinvest a little bit. They'll be fine.

Not sure this is the right place but are the possession coaching guru's being found out?
Others coaches are finding ways to nullify it, mind its not new remember Swansea coming to our place eons ago and having 70% and got beat 2-0 iirc.

The 3 relegated sides will definitely start as the favourites, Southampton and Leicester aren't as good as the last time they came down

All comes down to the transfers window

Nope. It's still by far the best way to be consistent throughout the season, one off games yeah but if you want to win a title or do well in a tournament like the Champions League then possession based football is the best way to do it.

Liverpool won the PL at a canter while averaging the 2nd most possession in the league (57.8%)

Barca won La Liga while averaging the highest in the league (68.9%)

Bayern won the Bundesliga while averaging the highest in the league (68.3%)

Leeds won the Championship while averaging the highest in the league (61.6%)

The Champions League final is being contested by two teams that average 68.4% (PSG) and 59.9% (Inter)

If we get promoted on Saturday, we'll be only the 3rd team since 16/17 to be promoted to the PL while averaging below 50% possession.

It's all about controlling the game, you can definitely do that while not having the majority of the ball but it's rare.

Stewart still got that work rate he had before the injuries, his movement is still there as well. Good to see.
