    Forgot it was Cup Final day today. That never would have happened back in the day. Either I’m getting old or football is. Anyway, up the Palace I suppose.

    Nothing compares to the horror of seeing a Lorry in the distance doing 56mph move into the fast lane to overtake another doing 55mph, whilst going uphill.

    Even better when they hit a downhill section half way through and the slow lane Lorry starts to edge past the one in the fast lane.

    It used to be MAGICAL . Following each team from the hotel with dedicated TV crew , from breakfast to pre match scenes of the players etc taking in the atmosphere .

    Now look at it .

    Shoehorned in anywhere they like

    The BBC would put on "It's a Knockout" competitions between the two sets of fans, usually at about 11:00am, followed by Grandstand, interviews with anyone and everyone, following the team coaches, coverage of the Community singsing, and eventually the match. All in black and white

    New Everton stadium really does look class.

    Looks like it'll be a nightmare to get to and from though. One train station nearby which is tiny and a good 30+ minute walk from the City.

    Gonna be a hell of an occasion today. Went up there yesterday evening to snap a few pics before the chaos of today and there was **** loads of Everton fans milling around the place.

    None tried to rob me of my ticket either rather surprisingly :biggrin:
