When Acun said he wanted top half and the playoffs, he didn’t specify in which division. He also said avoiding relegation was never the aim.
Rosenior or more the fact that they'd been taken over by the Chelsea group?!? Happened in summer 2023. Possibly reaping / seeing the benefits of the investment this last season?
I'm amazed how fortunate Rosenior has been everywhere he's gone. Lucking into great players who would have done well under any manager, lucking into a club that had been taken over by Chelsea who would have done well under any manager. Remarkably lucky bloke.
rosie was a player in of the clubs most succesful ever periods and then became a manager of said club, and fair enough if you think his sacking was just, but i dont understand why there's almost a dislike for him he's never done anything but big up the club and city i want former players to be succesful, especially well liked ones we are not a club with a rich trophy laden past, so people like rosie should be championed if james chester bcomes a manager, i hope he does great too
"Almost" a dislike of him? Some absolutely loathe him. It's remarkable. If Huddlestone, Meyler, Davies, Chester, etc. etc. become managers I would absolutely follow their results and wish them well. The fact some actively hope he fails is despicable.
I'm just giving a logical counter view that perhaps Strabourg doing better than they've done for many a year probably has quite a bit to do with them being taken over by the Chelsea group, the investment they've made into it, and the players made available. I don't dislike Rosenior. In many ways I quite like him. I didn't like his boring style of football though.
Darren Witcoop reporting that Erol Bulut has been considered as well Is he the one that was 18? (had his finger on the trigger ....)
I have no dislike for Rosie whatsoever. But His football was absolutely dreadful to watch most of the time (as was Walter’s and Selles). I would be genuinely interested to watch a Strasbourg game to see if he has adopted his playing style since leaving us. If he has, that really would be a mark of a good coach. But when looking on the dodge box previously there’s limited availability of French league 1 football, and honestly it’s not that important that to me to seek it out.
Don’t we have to wait till all decent managers have found a job before appointing someone nobody wants, bit like we do with players
I agree about leeds Thered one big problem though Their squad is absolutely insane for this level Every position apart from goalkeeper is ridiculous And no teams can compare
No one is expecting Barcelona type football. But similarly it would be nice to have some attacking play in the opposition half more than two or three times a game.
