Aye lol. One of the best strikers and finishers in world football has to move to a bit of an angle so it’s not a scoring opportunity, great logic by shearer. I think they bottled it because of the time in the game and the fact it was against palace.
Mayenda was running away from the goal when he rounded the keeper at Coventry ... ... if he's brought down is that not a red?
I do wonder if this was a premier league game rather than FA Cup Final if the same decision would have been reached
Not according to shearer (of course it would of been, wouldn’t have even been debated) side note - their keeper should have probably brought him down in hindsight
That penalty decision to me is proof VAR is absolutely not fit for purpose. They’ll scrutinise pathetic offside decisions for 5 minutes but won’t overturn a blatant dive. He’s going down before he even initiates the contact himself
VAR is a disgrace he gets a touch and they’ve relayed he hasn’t that’s a disgrace and not shocked to see Gillet in controversy he’s had a mare with both decisions
I hate the rules as they are mate. Bernardo has blatantly tried to buy it and put his leg toward the defender to make contact. We’ll always say the defender shouldn’t dive in but it’s last ditch defending he has to really.
I want City to win tbh. I hate them but it reinforces the fact that state owned clubs are wrong in every way. I'm also sick of hearing about the Palace Ultras ... ... a drum and three repetitive songs no one can understand apart from those singing.
