Strangely I know them quite well from a previous business. They are good but as inspiring as Walter’s team talks…

Heard last week that Newcastle United are planning a new stadium. It is to built on 'Toon Moor' which is where the annual fair is held.
    No local opposition so far.

It’s not being built on Town Moor, it’s being built on Leazes Park.

The Newcastle United season ticket holder, in fact two of them both living in Newcastle told me it will be built on Toon Moor, the site of the annual fair. Perhaps the annual fair is held on Leazes Park?

I highly doubt it'll be built on Toon Moor, Leazes Park is problematic but much more likely. :emoticon-0138-think

Only repeating what the two Geordies told me Tony, they said the new stadium will be built on the site of the fair ground, his mate added 'Toon Moor' or something. I asked if the fans had any objections, like, because I consider Sid James Park to be a decent ground in a good position right in the city centre, near chinatown.
They said 'H'way man, nobody gives a **** about the fair, like'.

The plans are to extend the current ground (problematic as it’s really hemmed in by roads and buildings which have preservation orders on them) or to build adjacent to SJP in part of Leazes Park. (Leazes Park is a bit like Pearson Park for comparison. In style not in proximity to any football ground). There’s no plan to build on the Town Moor as the area cannot be touched. It’s not like Walton Street though which sits around for 51 weeks of the year waiting for the fair looking derelict) the Town Moor is a green, pleasant (albeit rather sparse area) just off the centre of the city. Not dissimilar to, say, Beverley Westwood.

For those with a high boredom threshold (moi) there's a bloke on YouTube that's quite interesting on all matters Newcastle, and Newcastle United, Tyneside Life. He's done lots of videos on upgrades to their present ground, and any future moves. Apparently Toon Moor is protected by an act of Parliament, open goal there. :emoticon-0138-think

Excuse my ignorance but why should they be watching it when Rosie doesn't manage either?
