Come on Brady, I especially wrote "managing" instead of owner. You are on right track and Prosinecki was close.

This is about Riera. Sounds promising but if he is the main target, would he want to work for Acun and would he be given time?

Like Brady said, it’s a bizarre mindset to hire young managers learning their trade as they go and giving them no opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them. This article could just as easily describe Sellés at Reading.

Rosenior and Sellés were good at man-management and empathetic. Walter was the polar opposite and was cold and distant with the players. Riera sounds more like the former in terms of building relationships with players but has zero tolerance for unprofessionalism. Think our squad need firm but fair. Corberán kept the West Brom squad on a tight leash and they respected him but as soon as he left, certain players in the squad just started to take the piss again because Mowbray was more lenient.

 

Have to say I have read a little on Riera and I do get the Marco Silva vibe.

 

Bruce was the most successful City manager but Silva was the best manager City have ever had in terms of quality.

 

If we’d have stayed up that season it’s highly possible we’d still be in the PL now

 

Fulham are a comfortably mid-table Premier League team under Silva. 10th, 13th and currently 11th this season.

Acun probably would’ve sacked him by now for not getting European football in three years.

 

Thats weird, I had the exact same thought. To make management predictions more difficult, there's no guarantee Silva achieves what Bruce did, despite being the better manager.
