Again, you’re quoting me on something I’ve not said. That’s not cool. Unbranded clothes are cool. Nothing wrong with that, I’ve got a couple of tops like that. I’m talking about fake gear which is a totally different conversation altogether.
I agree ... on your 'obviously' fake gear point ... ...but I'd never buy a Rolex, even if I was a millionaire...
Have you seen how a Rolex increases in value. Not sure making a really sound investment choice compensates for anything?
Also the broadband company will have public liability insurance... @Sucky you got a public liability certificate?
I’ve been seriously looking at one of these. Not sure why anyone would say that this is garish or ostentatious. These retail around £6k and the earlier (pre 2021 models) are going for £18-20k. Not only does it look good, the return on investment is probably better than any other purchase you could make.
As I said earlier - fair point and each to their own - but if I had that much disposable income, personally I'd use it for nice holidays ...
Good luck and join the queue in getting one at its 'face value'. But yeah, beautiful. Not a Batman or a Pepsi or any of that ****. I do love the Hulk though, great colour. I'm an Omega chap though. But you don't get that massive increase in 'value' by any means, they are just a classic watch.
I’m an Omega fan too. It was the Seamaster aqua that got me looking and that’s when I came across the Rolex equivalent. I’m not into the diamond cut bezel or the coloured scales around the outside of most watches, I just want something that is understated and can be worn with anything. I was talking to sales guy in a Rolex shop in Vegas, and was shocked to hear around the potential waiting lists for new models, which is why I mentioned the pre 2021 values to Fosse. I did speak to a guy in the watch-finder store in Bluewater a few weeks ago, who did say that some 2025 models can be easier to get than is commonly thought. How true that is, I don’t know as I’m certainly no expert. Whatever I end up with is going to be a retirement present to myself. After spending years contributing to my company share save scheme, I want to get something that I can appreciate.
That's nice. I personally like the GMT style, Seiko is a nice brand with some decent prices while good QT. Got one as a gift from my fiancé for my 30th, I love it.
