Clearly Jol expects to sub SD (after 60 mins. ?). In his official review before the game JOl said - "If they (the players) don't give a 100% for this club, they've got a problem. They know that, I know that." Did he have any particular player(s) in mind?
Who said we should play Frei? Who said Dempsey should have played striker? When we brought on Frei he caused problems for the short space of time he could. And when we went 1 down Dempsey played further forward and we created 2 chances. 1 Ruiz should have scored and the other AJ messed up. Anyone think I should be manager? Just put Briggs in too and we have an amazing team!
FFC agree, was in favour of Frei. The guy is raw talent and can play some football. Don't understand why Briggs is not used either!
Briggsy is more effective as a Bale style winger. Using his pace to race past defenders. We have so much talent that it infuriates me that we don't use it.
Can't understand for the life of me why AJ didn't take the penalty. Especially considering Dempsey missed his last spot kick against Chelsea, I know he wanted to atone for the own goal, but personally I'd have given it to AJ, if he scores then Dempsey's OG gets cancelled out anyway, no harm no foul.
Bandit I agree... Although it was a well taken penalty. The keeper did well to keep it out. What frustrates me is that some penalty takes aim too low giving the keeper a chance. The question is who is the second in line nominated to take the penalties if Murphy is not on the pitch!!
I have just seen some of the highlights and we had a few good chances after their goal, which by the way Clint should have left it for the keeper. The second goal was pathetic. Usually on the corners we have a man on the front post to clear these low corners. Riise was nowhere to be seen!!!
