If Rosenior had got the exact same points total this season as he did last we’d have finished 5th. If Selles had been in since the start of this season and continued the exact same form we’d have finished mid table. How many times does Acun have to sack a clearly competent manager for you to understand that the problem might be with the man running the club and not the competent managers he’s removed from post?
If Rosenior had got the exact same points as he did last season with the players this year he should be managing England - however he completely ****ed up the last 13 games and we missed out on the play offs which is why he was sacked - in fact his performance was no different to Selles for the last 13 games - try and move on
Three pages of pathetic drivel deleted, my grandson is more grown up than some on here and he’s six ffs.
Random one on the 3 man shortlist apparently along with some of the names already mentioned. Gonçalo Feio - current manager of Legia
https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/new-plymouth-argyle-head-recruitment-10179434 He'd be a good choice, but this suggests that they are making efforts to keep him, despite the relegation.
I've seen his opening meeting with his team at Plymouth in YT. Quite inspirational. Just s a footnote, had Plymouth not had the cup run beating Liverpool would they have stayed up..?
I think he's ok but it just confuses me as he's another who built his side defence first and set up with strong CBs who could dominate aerially. His Plymouth side didn't strike me as an attractive, open team. So does Acun actually know what he wants in a manager? If it was Muslic + Hardie coming with him that's a good start at least.
LR was sacked for narrowly missing out on the playoffs, RS for narrowly missing out on relegation. Muslic achieved that. Keep up.
Whatever any of us think about Selles’ departure I’ve not seen any suggestion that we had his replacement lined up already. But being a team in possession of a good fortune in want of a manager he wouldn’t be a bad choice.
Maybe we try and get a manager who can defend and attack with reasonable tactics , also one who believes in a settled team ( barring injuries )
