Also rumours from Italian media suggesting we're very interested Douglas Luiz (hopefully to replace Longstaff) and that Juventus are open to a loan deal with purchase option. Meanwhile, Man City are said to have offered us Grealish on loan, according to The Athletic's Man City correspondent. The rumour that has sprung up from this is that we are actually considering the sale of Barnes to Villa to further boost our spending power and would be interested in Grealish in a low cost loan, with City covering a good percentage of his wages, to provide Gordon with competition at LW next season.
I mean, it's all well and good talking about spending 'power', but taking on has-beens like Grealish doesn't feel like a great idea (not against selling Barnes, btw - money in plus weakens Villa).

Another Left winger. Maybe makes sense if Barnes goes but Transfermarkt have Gittens valued at €50m so highly unlikely for me...
Apparently #Newcastle representatives have travelled to #Espanyol vs. #Barça today to talk to Joan Garcia
Another player I've never seen play. I don't get where you all get the time to watch all these games and often enough of the same teams to have viewpoints on players.
I remember years ago when we went on a spending spree to improve the team and broke our transfer records by buying Dave Bessant and Andy Thorne. And then got relegated.
In terms of dross, it's 10 years to the day Riviere scored his only goal for us. A miscued shank against relegated QPR that managed to deceive the keeper, after which he did somersaults around the pitch. We still lost the game though.
Honestly think we could all name 20-40 dross players under the Ashley era. Some proper baggage in that period. He was one of the worst mind wasn’t he.
