No, I'd rather Benson was kept but if he's not getting hardly any games he'll likely be gone in January, more is the pity.
I cannot imagine where he would fit into the team. Too slow for a winger, not sharp or powerful enough for a main striker and never a prolific scorer even when at his peak. The only position would be "in the hole", but we already have Kermit and Hayes. A small, skilful, brainy player whose career has been wrecked by successive injuries. No use to us, I think. And how would that encourage the likes of Sho-Silva who is waiting to step in once we sell Kermorgant to Man Utd for £5 million?
