Irony seems to be a recurring theme at the moment.

Two players we all wanted to keep won't play at Wembley, this season, and may be in the Championship while we're in the Premier League.

Jack Clarke and Ross Stewart thought their careers would take off but Sunderland might be swapping places with them.

A Sunderland keeper conceded three goals and won't be going to Wembley ...

... and this is the first time I can ever remember Sunderland and Newcastle going to Wembley in the same season.

    What next?

I met Onions at 12:15 today, me being on my way home from school with one of my grandsons for his lunch, and him being on his way to the same school with one of his bairns, and he said that he was late to school 'because of last night'

This was evident after Coventry scored as he immediately called the players together for a "pep talk". Great leadership.

Ive watched them all 7 times now, the sound on this one is the best! Also, 4mins 50. Enzo gees the crowd up, puts the ball down, then picks it back up to give it a kiss before delivering the corner of all corners! I've been to France loads of times but that might be the most french thing ive ever seen! Nearly as good as the header!

7mins 35 Cirkin knows the second Enzo's corner is delivered something good is going to happen. He's halfway on the pitch before the crowd roars! <laugh>
