How many games did all 3 start together? I can answer it for you in case you didn’t know it’s once against Plymouth on last day of the season outside of Carvalho all of those players improved under Rosenior. Another reason he’s a good manager
In fact I would make the argument Carvalho revitalised his career here as well. Another notch in the belt of Rosenior being a good manager
Can they only play well for one manager? Was delap **** at Man City ? He came cos acun stumped up the cash What does it matter if they didn’t play together any one of them improves us immeasurably
For the record I never really bought the notion Rosenior was the sole reason players came here. Given how much we’ve spent on loans I get that it’s likely we offered the most. That being said players like Delap, Morton and Jaden had shaky loans before coming here and put it together. That doesn’t happen under a bad manager. Fabio himself in an interview mentioned Rosenior helped him get his career back on track. My comment about them playing together was moreso because everyone labels that we had a super team when in reality they never got to play together because we had injuries at key moments
Rosenior reportedly had offers from Premier League sides before signing his contract extension with Strasbourg. I could only think they would be Leicester and Southampton.
Delap has nothing but praise for Rosenior , describing him as “incredible". “How he is with us as players and how he manages us and helps us learn every day, the detail that he goes into is top notch. You can see that everyone’s improving game by game and I think that’s credit to him.” Amid reported interest in his services from European giants like Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester United, Delap is only concerned with the areas of the game he has to improve on. “The boss is so detailed on the out of possession side of things. Probably before I came here I had a concept of it but I wasn’t aware as he wanted me to be. It’s something he’s helped me with, and all the staff have helped me with throughout the season. I feel like I’m starting to improve that.”
I wasnt criticising Rosenior for how he was in training. I thought he wanted the play to be too ponderous. We would need a goal and all the fans saw were our defenders passing the ball to each other in our own half while our opponents watched and waited in their half.
Cool. He’s still a good manager. It’s ok to admit that even if you don’t like the style of play. I don’t like the way Nathan Jones sets his teams up. I still think he’s a good manager
what does it say about his judgement though when our team needs a goal but our defence passes the ball from right to left and then back again while our opponents stand off us and wait for us to move forward. There could be 20 minutes to go when we needed a goal and we would totally waste 10 minutes of it.
That he had a flaw and probably could’ve worked on it. Didn’t say he was perfect but he’s still a good manager.
