True. It can be the oddest sides that drop down. Fulham, Bournemouth, Palace, Brentford. Anything could knock them back.
I think Dribs mentioned Sunderland and Sheffield United because they are in contention for the third promotion spot to the PL.
Think does just show that ‘pundits’ whether ex players or not can see just as much into the future as fans and even less so in some scenarios and the people best places are those actually in the clubs looking at the data and analytics behind managers/styles etc with a long term view. Does make you wonder why they need to pay these ex pro’s 100’s of thousand to put their opinion out there when most fans can do exactly the same
At least fans by their nature are utterly biased and you can write off stupid comments as rooted in that. Former players now fall into one of two camps. People who want to be social media level pundits who are there for the soundbite and "banter" (for the yoof) People who want to look serious (old people football analysts) I really think for the next while the yoof will win out and there is no punditry worth listening too unless there's a proper yarddog on your clubs side to give it back. Give it a few years though, social media is starting to be seen as bad for "mental health" and these sources will try to go all serious again.
I suppose there must be some people who watch all that crap otherwise they wouldn't do it, but personally I'd rather go to the dentist or something. I do resent them being paid so much to spout drivel, but supporting multi-millionaires is just another way in which fans are being mugged by modern football.
.... is a well known law firm in Liverpool affectionately known as Hill Dicks. I'd imagine the stadium will be called Bramley Moore in day to day conversations.
I thought it was the name of some player from before my time that I'd never heard of. Sounds like a reasonably decent sponsor though.
Man U and Tottenham's final games of the season are against Villa and Brighton respectively. There's a realistic chance that neither will reach 40 points this season. (But they will now I've said that)
And as usual micah richards pure bias seeping from every stinking pore. Tv off for ht. No interest in that ****.
