I know of (what should be) a straightforward way to save £8million a day that could be put to pensions (healthcare, infrastructure, defence, education, ...) and that is literally only the tip of that iceberg
Means testing is ****. It just rewards those that don't look after themselves and encourages you to spend now and not plan for the future
Depends how generous or otherwise whatever gets means tested is. State pension by itself is far from a comfortable existence.
I'm not sure on the rules and I honestly, I can't be arsed to look it up right now, but I'm sure further down the pyramid there are players that have "dual registration" and can play for two clubs in different divisions. Those clubs are part of the Football League pyramid, so are covered by the FA's rules.
Maybe, nothing official has happened on that front but if he does go to a bigger club, we'll be asking for him back on loan.
Could have sworn a few years ago some of our academy players out on loan to League Two and National League teams were playing for the under-21s whilst still on loan.
Can anyone explain the point of the Puerta deal? I know we loaned him with an option to buy, which we did a few weeks ago when the clause kicked in. So he's our player, contract etc would have been agreed at the start of the loan deal. What I dont get is why are we selling him so soon? Unless the money mentioned was something ridiciolous, but it really isnt.. in fact, after his german club get their share of 40%? are we even going to break even? I just dont see the point. Looks like another one of Acun's crazy deals.
We had to buy him it was an obligation not an option. I’m sure lots have changed since we agreed the deal last summer. Walter ball was taking us to the pl even after giving everyone a head start and writing August off although I suppose the option was not to play him, therefore not triggering the obligation
We are mere football fans, expecting full transparancy in Acun's day to day transfer dealings and club activity - is asking a bit much.
I know this is a PL article but the rule is the same across England’s 4 pro divisions. Clubs have to own 100% of the players rights/contract in order to be registered. How it’s policed I have no idea but there have been instances where clubs have been caught falling foul of it. https://www.premierleague.com/news/597665
Certainly no one on here. We have no idea of the details, like how much did we pay, how much he earns, have we sold him, will we sell him, if we do sell him what he worth, will we get anywhere near what he's worth, if he does leave is there a sell on to another club, if so how much is that sell on. Among other things we don't know.
