I’ve had the day off today. All I’ve been doing is watching and rewatching the SAFC videos on YouTube since 10am.

Watching extra time on from last night's Sky coverage. Just can't get enough of anything to do with last night's match. The missus is even worse! Posted stuff off Facebook and even did a post on Tiktok taking the piss out of Lampard! The thing is she keeps telling me she's not interested in football!

I did was foaming haha stupid sky ****s all the negative commentary then the score flashed up.

 

Luke will never get the credit he deserves from some of our fans but the fact that we conceded only 44 goals in 46 games (4th best in the division) despite various injuries in full back positions tells you that we're a bloody good defence and that criticism of him is micro-analysis of his game.

I disagree with most that Ballard and Mepham would be a good partnership. Luke is the one comfortable on the left, he's the most comfortable on the ball and he has the best leadership qualities.

Ballard is incredible for the physical game but he hates being on the ball. We saw a couple of occasions last night where he offloaded as soon as he possibly could.

Mepham is sort of a hybrid of the two and maybe our most balanced defender but not as good as either of the others at their skillset.
