I’m not a fan of his, or any owners (I think it takes a weird sort to want to own a football club) but he’s obviously doing something right if we’re got good crowds despite playing **** football. Yes it was always likely crowds would increase post the Allams but not like this. I think on that you’re being over negative because you hate him and want him to go. To my mind the only thing he’s really done wrong is sacked Rosenior and appointed Walter. The rest on the pitch simply followed that like night after day. Not that it means anything to me but people seem to like the ‘matchday experience’ the food etc and there’s more City kits round now that since we were in the PL…in fact it often feels like there’s more tbh due to good marketing and a decent choice. I’m no fan of his…you won’t hear me begging him to wave at me! but you’re so negative on everything he does it drowns out the reasonable points you sometimes make. IMHO
It's an interesting point this. It's true that he has 'only' had one really bad season and made a couple of very significant mistakes around managers. Trouble is, each one of those mistakes has effectively written off a season which is why we've only finished top half once after three years of his ownership. In that time you can totally blow the advantageous FFP position you inherit and yet achieve nothing. The key now is to learn from those mistakes. Surely it should now be impossible not to understand the cost of these stupid managerial sackings and what a waste of time and money it's been for the club. If he hasn't learned that lesson and does it again then he really is foolish.
This is exactly why I think it’s the right decision to replace Selles now, rather than giving him more time just because.
Stoke havent finished top half once since they got relegated They should be everything we dont want to be
I anyone is even considering being interesting in buying Hull City I would look no further then the current owners of Hull Fc. Not that i have anything concrete to back that up, only that the same suggestion was made to me by someone of wealth in this city who mixes in those circles. They have the money and if as outsiders ( from Leeds) they saw enough potential in rugby league and Hull Fc then surely they must be aware of the potential of Hull City, playing from the same stadium in the same city but in a much, much bigger sport?
I think there’s about a 0% chance of that happening. But would he be allowed a fresh start in a clean slate?
