Not had time to read through yet, but how long are they giving on the renewal price or is it that price if you pay upfront?
I’ve actually just bought a season ticket for me and my lad (first one for 7 years). For the same reason as Tom I’m looking forward to another champ season. Really enjoyed the last one with the added spice of the derby this time… and again, no VAR!
I'm not a fan of it and didn't want the change in the first place but they're not going to change it again after one season.
Can't really judge it off the back of one year, especially such a cataclysmically **** season. We have only experienced it during one league victory so far... (which is a ****ing bleak sentence to write)
Maybe. I liked having the separate pockets of people in different areas and the back and forth between the away fans helps during lulls. Hopefully a good few people move to the chapel anyway. Be awful if the skates get free reign when they visit with people sat in silence near them.
I don't see how it would change after a positive season. The issue is that the two groups that want to back and forth each other are on the opposite ends of the ground, no amount of winning is going to change that issue. I thought it may encourage some folks over there to join in but my friend who has an ST over there said it was miserable but I can see why that would be because of losses, I just don't think a good season will change much.
This is true in loads of stadiums and it isn't an issue. The reason the seating was changed was to improve the home atmosphere so it is clearly hard to judge if it has worked after possibly the worst season in our history.
I would agree with that if the atmosphere hadn't been an issue for seasons now, been terrible since Koeman's last season in my opinion.
Most other stadiums also has a section where fans stand and sing at the end near the away fans too though. Which is what will end up happening in the Chapel.
Examples: Fratton in the stand to the right of away end. Old Trafford in corner other side of goal to away end. Anfield in the Anfield Road end Elland Road behind the goal near the away end.
Over time I expect you will be right. Which will be a good thing, we will have two parts of the ground making atmosphere, rather than just the half of one end we used to have.
Well we used to have two areas and last season had the beginning of a third too. Loads of people near me in the Northam spend huge chunks of the game sat down on their phone. Weirdos.
Yeah there were definitely some oddities in the Northam too. Bloke next to me all season never cheered for a goal, never joined in any singing, barely even spoke to the guy he came with and would always leave around 70/80th minute. Weird behaviour to be honest.
**** it I've convinced myself. We're the Chapel, we're the Chapel, we're the Chapel over here A whole £10 cheaper than this season's ticket. Feel so valued.
Notice there was no mention of the digital tickets on this announcement and what to do if you want a card. I'll ring them in a week or two.
