Huge game.. Win and we can watch on a bit hoping for slip ups before we play Everton. We can go to Arsenal without huge pressure.

    A draw wouldn’t be a terrible result.

Yeah, but a win puts Newcastle within touching distance. The draw doesn't really help a great deal. We need 6 points at this point and possibly goal difference over a Chelsea over the last 3 games... Actually 7 points is certain CL football providing we win today I believe.

We don't want to have to get something at Arsenal.

Would love it if Joelinton comes in like a wrecking ball.

6 points is certainly enough. If we get to 69 points then we'll be top 5 as only one of Chelsea OR Forest could overtake us (not both as they play each other) and Villa would have to overturn a -14 goal difference to us in order to finish above us.

Whilst I can see Villa theoretically getting 6 points from Man Utd and Tottenham I can't see them winning both games by 7 or 8 goals.

We cannot assume we'll win against Arsenal or Everton so a win today is huge. At the same time whilst I agree that we should assume we're going to actually need 69 points, probably 67 will be enough - expect the worst but hope for the best.

Win today and the mental gymnastics are a lot less onerous. Draw and we're "ok" but no longer in a comfortable position. Lose and we're right in the thick of it and probably needing 4-6 points from our last two games >.<

Am I not right in thinking Chelsea could still get to 69 and turn around what will be a narrow gd over the remaining two games even if we beat them?

Think it's 5 at the back with Murphy at RB, Tino LB.

Barnes Right, Gordon left Either side of Bruno & Sandro with Isak of course up top
