Hull sacking a young, promising manager after doing a decent job? Do they not learn?

 

Deserve all they get if they make the same mistake twice

 

Replacing Selles with Mowbray is horrendous. Hull, with a way worse squad than WBA, picked up more points than WBA while Mowbray was in charge. Stupidity.

 

Literally the one thing Hull had going for them was Ruben Selles

 

Big fan of Selles personally. Sets up a good defensive structure, wants to dominate the ball, good at developing youth. If he gets sacked he could walk into pretty much any of the openings in the Championship and I include the 3 coming down from the PL.

 

Would be perfect here if the trigger got pulled (not saying it should)

 

The job he did at Reading under the circumstances there is one of the best i've seen in a long time

 

Similar to rosenior at Derby just a bigger sample size with selles

 

Comfortably stayed up in 23/24 then had them top6 this season with a bunch of kids who weren't being paid.

Tom Cleverley gone

 

Must be their longest serving manager in about 10 years

 

Wow. I know it's Watford but that has surprised me. Shoe string budget and poor squad outside of a couple of players. What were they expecting? Apparently the owners wanted to sack him during the season but the players stepped in.

 

Cleverley, like Selles, will walk into any Championship job.

 

This is starting to look like the baggage carousel at Heathrow ...

... all the baggage goes round and round so the owners can take one off when they're ready

 

If Watford have any sense (hahahahahahaha).... then they should immediately go for Selles (once sacked)
