A witness was quoted as saying that the clip from the CCTV was only a fraction of what went on. The rugby player’s missus seems adamant Tommy nutted him first.
Regardless, the CCTV footage we did see shows Tommy and the other guy having words but it was the other guy who escalated the situation from that point by nutting him whilst Tommy walked away. That’s not self-defence even if Tommy hit him earlier.
He has an ACL injury. Very recent. So won’t be playing for about 12 months. But he’d fit right in with his injury!Anygood for us, not prolific but I thought he looked decent against us

Spill the beansSharing the information isn't a problem at all providing it doesn't put someone's employ at risk. It's juvenile posters getting far too carried away with it where the problem lies, because as long as it fits, or can be moulded to fit an agenda, then it's suddenly treated as fact and then it seems on here at least, it turns into a crusade - usually before anything has actually happened. That's when you get people questioning it, and apparently we then get the people with the insider info getting all butt hurt about it. I'm not doubting what any of you have heard, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's true either. Or perhaps it was true and now isn't. We don't know.
There's something I happen to know, specifically about next season, which to be honest kind of counters the idea of the club being up for sale. It's not something I've seen mentioned on here and it's something I heard a few weeks ago and things might have changed since but it's something I know is true, unless it's since changed. I know it is (or at least was) true due to the source of the info. I also know the info would be used to bash the club by some, so I've said nothing.
Except you said we had run out of cash.It was explained quite clearly that a club can be in financial difficulty and still sign players for money, it happened at Portsmouth, Reading (Danny Drinkwater being a prime example) and at Derby. Having a huge debt doesn't mean you don't have cash to hand, the club still needs to function. A rich club doesn't pay its players late because it's waiting for a wire transfer from abroad.
Maybe just wait instead of jumping in on every financial transaction, yeah?
Except you said we had run out of cash.
You're a great poster but your source in the club seems an alarmist bed wetter. There's been a few times where your source has said things that immediately make no sense and it could be because they only have half the picture but jump to conclusions.
As others have said, inside info is very much appreciated and I remember saying as much to M88 at the time but pointing out everything we were seeing wasn't lining up.
I'll share this, if only to stop some of the speculation. Remember, I get told this based on what is known at the time and this was during the international break, my source has been wrong before as it's more of a casual chat than an actual journalistic thing so stuff can get lost in translation (mainly because he has a tendency to interpret stuff in a rather dramatic way, I'm more pragmatic lol). If this turns out not to be true, or some bits of it are wrong, so be it.
So we were told that the team turned down the offer of a trip to Turkey, but that isn't what happened. The reason we didn't go to Turkey for training is the same reason all the free stuff has stopped, the fan holidays have ceased and why we didn't go big for a striker when we needed one. We can't afford it. Some people have asked about buying the likes of Zambrano and Puerta when we have "no money", but being in financial trouble doesn't prevent you from trading or from having cash in the bank; in this case it simply means that if our loans come due, we (our owners) don't have the means by which to pay it back. I don't know how big the loans are or how long the loan lasts for, but if we go down, it's incredibly likely that the lender will want their money back and won't take the chance that we don't come back up again. We did it last time, but it was a much weaker league back then and we had a number of decent prospects coming through that could bulk out the squad.
The club is financially in bother, to put it bluntly.
The bit in bold is what I said before, so yeah he can be a touch dramatic, but that's why I prefaced it with what I said. He's not so much alarmist, he just worries because he sees the stuff going on on a daily basis, it's his interpretation of it.
I didn't say we had "run out of cash". I said we couldn't afford to keep taking fans on holiday for free and pay what was needed for a quality striker because had the club gone down, it would have been a disaster. We'll still bring players in, it's just that they won't be big sums and we'll be a lot more reliant on selling first. I imagine that anybody that can go, like Pedro and Amrabat who are out of contract, will go.
Staying up doesn't change much of the debt situation unless we get some serious investment, but it does at least allow for a bit of mitigation on the income front.
We were reliant on selling first last summer too though, that's just how clubs at this level who push to the limit of PSR have to operate.
I guess my and others frustration is how much of this discussion was had last week despite some of us saying it would come out after the weekend if it were true. Forget about the playing staff, it was a massive distraction for those of us trying to focus on and be positive about the game itself. Yes the wages were delayed a few days and that would have come out regardless but some of the stuff posted last week was just way too over the top for that point in time.
I've also said before, debt has absolutely no bearing on anything. The interest on the debt is about 1.8-2m (maybe more this season, granted, but even if we doubled our debt we're talking 4m cost) which compared to the wage bill is nothing. All that has a bearing on anything is our ability to stay within PSR limits and our ability to service our obligations. If we aren't running out of cash and we're selling players before committing to purchases, then there's nothing to see.

Well judging by Mike White's update on X this morning it looks like another interesting summer we have in store. Mowbray being touted to replace Selles.
Well there’s no point arguing anyway, because you think he’s great, because he did something when he first came here, which wasn’t creating or scoring, I think he’s ****, because he didn’t create or score anything. He’s obviously setting the world alight in Turkey with 4 appearances. So because he didn’t create enough he’s **** is he? If you’re too stupid to acknowledge some of his quality when he first came here, then there’s no point arguing
