    Not necessarily, Abeid is a more defensive player than Gosling, it would just be a tactical decision.

    Think that Gosling will start and Abeid will be on the bench. Maybe we'll see him in the second half...

    Gosling is a midfielder who has defensive experience as a full back and has had 27 Premier League appearances, compared to Abeid who has never stepped foot in a top flight English football match?

    If Abeid is being chosen to start over Gosling, then Gosling is doing something wrong. It's as simple as that.

    Abeid probably is, but Gosling should also be doing very well. He's young, fit, a prospect and should be trying to impress. Hence why if Abeid is being chosen to start, despite Gosling having a lot more EPL experience, then Gosling must be failing to step up like he can.

    It's not though, most of those 27 apps will have been as a sub and I doubt he played more than 5 games at RB. Abeid is a natural defensive midfielder, Gosling has played RM more than anywhere else. I think Gosling will start anyway.

    True. Where did the rumour abeid was starting come from anyway? Gosling didn't do a lot in his appearence v Everton and was anonymous when he started v Forest in the cup. Maybe he needs a run of games somewhere else

    Ben Arfa
    Ba

    Best on for Obertan at 60 mins, with Ben arfa going on the right
    Gosling on for Abeid at 70 mins
    Shola on for Ba 80 mins

    I may be reading too much into this, but why would he say he was playing even if he was? It would be like when Jose said he wasn't playing against Spurs.

    If Jose, the experienced mid 20 year old full back was capable of making that mistake, then I'd say a 19 year old lad who has yet to play a top flight game could perhaps make the same mistake.

    For **** sake, see what I mean? I took Nani out for Bale this week and he scored 2 goals and probably got an assist as well. Had I took HBA out then it could have been him who scored 2 goals.

    <laugh> Took HBA out for Swansea's Sinclair. To get RVP in the team I need to replace Hernandes and swap Saurez for a cheaper striker.. <whistle>
