Lampard, at some point, will balls up tactically. He isnt upto elite level tactics. Regis should try and get him thinking a bit and Lampard will confuse himself. Simple in game things like switching wingers for 5 mins will panic him. Honestly, watched him at Derby and he was all over the place. I would even say some daft stuff at press conference - he is likely to fall for it.
I don’t believe that for one second mate. 24 points away from Leeds and Burnley (who scored more and conceded a load less than we did). Closer to 18th than 2nd points wise!
In the end aye but we lost key players with replacements injured and as you’ve said plenty of times the players looked knackered
Every game counts, after a full season we are nowhere near, not even close. Everyone has injuries, it’s part of the game. Anyway, let’s see if we can suddenly flip our performances in the next week or so…
all this negativity needs to disappear, never mind how the season ended we've had a cracking one. 2 massive games coming up and hopefully a 3rd one .on are day we can beat anyone KTF
Regis Le Bris explains selection ahead of Coventry https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...explains-sunderland-selection-ahead-coventry/ REGIS Le Bris insists there were no play-off mind games behind his interesting decision to tweak his Sunderland midfield against QPR. Le Bris made a surprise switch in the middle of the pitch at the weekend, with Jobe Bellingham starting the game against Rangers as the No.6 and Dan Neil playing in a more advanced role…. “We don't know what will happen in these two games so it was really important to manage different options, to spend time with other players around you," he said. “If we have to make a decision early or later in a game and you don't have these experiences from previous games, it's a problem. So even if it's not the best option normally for the team, it is useful to have these experiences and these options. "This is what this period has been for, it's disappointing because we lost but we learned a lot about our squad. We'll be stronger at the end." Le Bris was delighted to get Dan Ballard back on the pitch on Saturday, with the centre-half introduced from the bench for the final half an hour. Dennis Cirkin also got his first full 90 minutes under his belt since mid-March. Le Bris said: "Dan Ballard was a big positive for us, Dennis played a full game. Some of the players were not at their best but they are good players, they have shown this so many times. It's just a question of reaction and we know they have this in their profile."
It’s important that “no negativity” needs to be in place even if we concede early. Two legged ties are a long battle.
Good to see you Magnus and 100% agreed. Positivity and support all the way from here. All supporters as one.
Luton had a man sent off as well so the last 30 minutes were 10v10 and they still didn't have a single attempt on goal. They didn't do any better at Plymouth, who were also relegated, as the keeper only had to make two sales. Their away form is poor, no getting away from it.
I remember Derby being booed off, in a game against Millwall, when Rowett iirc ran rings around Lampard. He sent Huddlestone out to face the press
Funny because Lampard has clearly done a good job but I'd much rather be playing a Lampard side than a Robins side in a high pressure game.
There's been a problem with the ticket website today mate, fixed now ... ... I've been after one all day for you, various people trying. Should know tomorrow.
I’d be astounded if he got sacked after finishing 4th, in fact I’d probably lose a bit faith in KLD if he done it.
That some Coventry fans are not happy with Lampard says everything you need to know about the modern football fan mind. To say he's done anything less than a very good job so far would be completely disingenuous.
Brilliant job, there’s another young French manager who’s reached the playoffs as well in his first ever term in the championship. New and up and coming as well. Doesn’t quite get the same credit from his own fans though
