We were ok, Brighton are decent and we fought back to get a draw. We were the better team tbh, saying we played ****e is nonsense.
As I said before, performances aren’t important any more, just results. That’s the only thing that is now relevant.
We weren't terrible. At all. We had the majority of possession, 13 shots against their 5 and clearly deserved at least a draw.
I said before a ball was kicked that this weekend was a tough one as all of the other teams in the mix were playing at home (Arsenal, Villa, Forest, Chelsea, City) whilst we're playing away. The fact we're going to finish it still in the top 5 is huge. Even is Chelsea win today they still need to play us and Forest away. Villa look the best of the chasing pack but cannot afford to drop any points. I wouldnt trade our position (and fixtures) with any of those three teams.
I don't think it was a bad performance in the end. They were playing passy without enough intensity first half and made poir decisions, but overall Newcastle dominated away from home vs a good team. Winning Ironically wouldn't have been much more significant if you're winning the two home games.
Yeah what was that about? We (certainly the fans) didn't want to sell him. Was he getting grief before scoring?
What did he do? I just remember him kissing the badge and not much else. Don't really mind tbh, Brighton gave him his big break and he's acknowledging that.
The start of what? We played away at a decent Brighton team, they're playing at home to a Liverpool team with loads of changes.
Oh apparently we're still above them even though they're winning 2-0, same GD and we have more goals, so still in 4th.
Just noticed that we've won more games this season than Arsenal and some are still complaining we've not won enough.
Yeah the weird thing is we've actually not drawn enough and lost far too many, so it's good that we got a point today. The problem we've had is all the other clubs are also doing well now.
