Bristol C get stiffed at Leeds tonight. All to play for on Saturday at Ashton Gate with Bristol looking to cement their play off berth and Preston desperately needing points to survive. The fixtures do look like they favour Bristol if they drop points (although their GD took a battering tonight).Chasing them are both Boro and Coventry who play each other with the others Millwall and Blackburn facing away trips to Burnley and Sheff U respectively.
Men against Boys tonight Ninian…. Just hope our GD isn’t needed know after tonight. Just shows the gulf in class in this division, let alone up another one, where Leeds will in all probability struggle, and get relegated.
I ‘knows them the rules’ but a team with more than 30 points difference between the team finishing second could get promoted.
Luton losing 3-1 to WBA at half time and in the last relegation spot with Derby and Stoke drawing against each other............ What's the betting that Derby/Stoke game will finish a draw to keep Derby up and send luton down............
Well all done. Luton down (forget getting transfer money for McGuiness if Luton got promoted to PL). Coventry (who play Sunderland who have lost last 5) Wurzels (who play Sheff U) in play off’s. Leeds win title.
Top 2 both got 100 points - we got 44. The 17 draws killed us - if we'd turned just 3 of those into wins instead of surrendering leads in the last quarter, we'd still be in the Championship.
Last season late goals throughout the season kept us away from the drop zone. All said and done though 9 wins in 46 games gets you deservedly relegated.
Just from memory, Stoke and Wurzels away, Watford and Oxford home - any 6 of those 8 points needlessly thrown away would have done it.
Add to those Wendies at home. The second half of that game really showed Riza's immaturity as a manager.
Pending the League 1 thread these make up the play off’s quartet to establish which club we won’t be playing And one of these will be travelling to CCS
Charlton spent quite a while in the Premier League. They slid down quite quickly and have struggled to get back.
Bradford City spent 2 seasons in the premier league. We'll be playing them next year as they've just been promoted from league two. Just saying.
