Hangover suggests you’ve stopped drinking. If you continued to drink you wouldn’t have noticed the anger & avoided the hangover … **** you said not to tell you. I need to start drinking.
Totally agree John. He's made ownership mistakes the last year, but clearly not afraid to spend money on players and wages. Hopefully, learns from them, invests in the club's infrastructure and develops the impressive fanbase further.
Continuing drinking at that pace would have been physically impossible! All the fault of @FER ARK who is a superb host/alcohol pusher
Did you really reply with that? Syd, come on, if you give it you've got to be ready to take it. Your insults are far worse. As you now appear to be saying, no need for it eh.
My point, as you and Howden have both missed, is we had just stayed up, and there's no need to be having a go at each other right in the aftermath of that. You and I have been getting on a lot better the last few days, don't know why this post was needed to be honest. By the way if my one-off '****' to you is 'far worse' than the above then I'd have to agree to disagree. I'm genuinely sorry if it caused you that level of distress but I'd suggest far worse is said on here - I cop far worse than a simple '****' quite often.
No need for 'sorry', 2 good posts imo (this and the one that followed). A voice of reason and sense. The owner is learning. He's brought in proper, experienced people now to delegate to in Dublin and, if the talk is correct, now Hodge. He's done so much good and right. Hopefully the (imo) ridiculous comments and the rumours can end and we can all get behind him once again and let's see what can be done next season. With the returning from injury players plus the talent we already have with players like you mention there is a great base to build on, and also few that can stay as decent 'squad' options. Once we get those injured players back, with the addition of a handful of good signings in key positions, we could be flying (no, not getting carried away just yet, but the opportunity to threaten the right end of the table is clearly there).
Today is such a wonderful day to be alive, the Spanish sun is beaming down, not a cloud in the sky, the pool looks so inviting, I’ll be taking up it’s invite after lunch. And the best feeling of all is city in the championship next season, I have a feeling that some of the posts on this thread will get really old this coming season. My two grandkids are arguing, sound so like some of you ****ing idiots on here, Jesus you’d think we went down and were in liquidation or something… for **** sake… Ice cold can is calling my name so off I’ll pop, be rude not to…..my new season’s resolution is to get to some city away games they look amazing…
I hadn't missed any point Syd. I doubt Howden has. The fact is you called another poster for insulting you when you'd recently done that to me. What was it ... own it, hold your hands up, accept it? It didn't cause me "distress" and if your comment above is meant as a belated apology for a totally unnecessary insult then it's accepted. Yes, we've been in agreement on a few things of late, we've been civil. Long may it continue. I agree with what you said ... "do we really need insults like this". We don't.
Again, did I do that to you immediately following relegation? No? Then yes you have both missed the point. Time to move on, eh? My last post on this as I suspect we're on the verge of another needless back and forth which, following yesterday's events, really isn't needed.
