None of the final top eight did the double over us. Not sure if this is any sort of achievement or not.

Not a bad finish to the season, three away wins on the bounce. Everyone played well except for Dembele.

    Bye Ronnie ...

Would Marti played Colback asa full back and Ashby as wing back help protecting Dunne.

The players talked about more freedom in the final third.

Sounds a bit as though they felt a bit more liberated today.
    Odd.

But perhaps there was and underlying ground swell against Marti being too conservative

However much we can feel sorry for Marti I can't help thinking our negative style was atleast partly driven by him.

Might be a better option than getting another giant ego in.

    Can't argue with a 100% win record.

Good win, decent performance can't really ask for much more all things considered. Neither Calm or Betsy will be in charge next season, they may be lucky to still find employment within the club.
Nourry will have his list ready and neither of those guys will be on it.

Pathetic home support at the SoL from the start - just no vocals getting behind their team at all

Majority of their fans thought we had nothing to play for and would just roll over

At least the ground had emptied so much by FT that getting away by car after the game was easy

Talking to Sunderland fans they see the season as over, they never beat Coventry.

It’s a bit of a weird season for them. Basically guaranteed exactly fourth for ages so they’ve had an awful run but it’s irrelevant. Coventry aren’t all that and they’ve got a great chance even if the expectation on form is Cov do them fairly easily.

A great finale to another disappointing "mid-table mediocrity" season for us. The only match in Prediction League this season that I put us down to lose (reverse psychology!).

His win record when in charge at clubs you’ve never heard of in vanishingly small leagues, is pretty tasty too.

Frankly, I'm amazed that our support remains as solid as it is given that we are doomed on an ever downward spiral by owners who don't have a clue and whose patience to build something to match that support is sadly lacking.
